The regional start-up scene is colourful, diverse and always good for a surprise. This was also demonstrated by the 16th GründerCup KielRegion 2019. This year’s winners were chosen at the award ceremony in the financial centre of the Förde Sparkasse in Kiel.

Christina Wittke and Simon Nordstad revolutionize solids analysis with their myStandards GmbH. The founders produce and sell nano pellets worldwide, which serve as calibration standards for analytical instruments. Solids analysis is used, for example, in the determination of the gold content of rock in mining or in sediment analyses for climate research. They are the only ones who have succeeded in producing sufficiently homogeneous pellets for calibration.
