Reference materials

Pressed powder pellets for LA-ICP-MS, XRF, LIBS, EPMA, SIMS

Product portfolio

From certified powders, own and customized materials

High quality

Extremely homogeneous and pure, produced following ISO-guidelines

Revolution of solid-state analysis

By developing a completely new method, μstandards is able to produce powder-pressed tablets with grain sizes in the nanometer range as reference materials. These pellets are extremely homogeneous, without any binding agents, and matrix-matched, which makes them suitable for a variety of microanalytical techniques. The quality of our reference materials will promote the breakthrough of solid (micro) analytics, as we finally have homogeneous materials available for calibration and validation produced following ISO standards.

Sulphides and ores Sulphides and ores

Trace element concentrations in ore minerals are an important consideration in exploration, ore beneficiation, recycling, and reservoir exploration.

Minerals Minerals

The chemical composition of minerals, the Earth's building blocks, is of interest for both industry and science.

Ultramafic rocks Ultramafic rocks

Element-concentrations of ultramafic rocks let us glimpse into the composition of the Earth's mantle and the crust-mantle-boundary.

Mafic rocks Mafic rocks

Element-concentrations in mafic rocks give insight to the composition of oceanic crust, large igneous provinces or mafic volcanoes.

Felsic rocks Felsic rocks

The composition of felsic rocks is of interest when studying the continental crust.

Carbonates Carbonates

Trace element concentrations in (bio) carbonates are used as proxies in paleo-climate research (foraminifera, corals, pteropods, mussel shells, red algae, stalactites, etc.), serve as proof of origin (corals, otoliths), etc.

Customized Customized

Do you require reference materials for your project, but are unable to find any commercially available? Just contact us about sending in your raw-material. We will process it and produce your own project-specific reference material.
